PROJEct summary

Realdania and The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities (Lokale og Anlægsfonden) have joined forces on the pool ‘Common Space’ (Fælles Rum) which supports the development of physical projects and activities in or around residential areas that are deprived or at risk of being. Common Space aims to contribute to a greater cohesion and social balance in the cities by lifting the leisure time facilities and create new meeting places across the residential area and the entire city.

Common Space supports projects that open up the residential areas to the surrounding city, create new meeting places and room for leisure life and activities for the entire city, and offer ideas of how to connect physical meeting places with social initiatives.

Common Space is a part of Realdania’s initiative ‘City in Balance’ (By i balance) and is included in The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities’ initiative to lift the leisure life in deprived residential areas.
